2022 Bridal Fashion Trend Forecast: 3 New Trends and 2 Disappearing Trends

Trends in the wedding industry are changing at a quick pace- but in the fashion industry, they are changing even faster! Here are 3 new trends we are going to see in 2022, and 2 trends that will start to disappear.

New Trends:

Bridal Gloves:

I don’t know if we have Bridgerton to thank for this one or not, but gloves have been making quite the mark on the bridal world. I have been seeing gloves incorporated in a lot of wedding wardrobes, either for a bachelorette party, bridal luncheon, or for the wedding day itself!

Luxe Glam Aesthetic:

For the past few years, we have either had the boho brides with their lace and fringe, or the super classic bride with satin and bows. But now, we are seeing the emergence of the glam bride. With this aesthetic, there is a lot of feathers, rhinestones, and yet it isn’t too over the top or costume-y. It comes across as luxe, sophisticated, and I am obsessed!

Dramatic Sleeves:

Fitting in with the last 2 trends, dramatic sleeves are definitely on the rise as the new fashionable bride aesthetic emerges. From wedding dresses to guest dresses, dramatic sleeves will be everywhere at weddings in 2022!

Disappearing Trends:

Slip dresses

Slip dresses were THE dress of 2020 and 2021, but I have a strong feeling they are going to start to fizzle out over the next year or so. The wedding world has become too over saturated with slip dresses, from wedding guests, to bridesmaids, to brides- and once you have seen one, you have seen them all.

Block Heels:

Block heels have had a good long run (pun intended), but I think their time has finally come. Even though they are quite comfortable, the block heels are being traded in for more chic and sleek options in 2022!
